Scarborough, Filey and surrounding towns and villages host some of their biggest events and weekends during June so there’s always something going on! Here’s just a few of the events planned for the month to give you new ideas for days out on your holiday.
Robin Hood’s Bay Folk Weekend (8th & 9th June)
Visit stunning Robin Hood’s Bay on the 8th and 9th of June to enjoy a free weekend of concerts, music sessions, dance and singarounds in this beautiful part of the Yorkshire Coast. Saturday will host puppet shows for children, drumming lessons and a late night concert in the evening. Sunday showcases dance displays, raffles and more music. Performances are in support of the RNLI.
Malton Food Market (8th June)
Malton’s Monthly Food Market is one of Yorkshire’s most renowned food markets running on the second Saturday of every month, coming this month on the 8th June. The market now hosts 35 specialist food stalls, street food, live chef demos, music and trips to Talbot Yard, trading between 9am and 3pm. It is popular with all those who care about where their food is sourced and is loved by local foodies, chefs and keen amateur cooks.

June brings a range of brand new artists to Europe’s biggest open air theatre in Scarborough. Here are the listings for the month:

Yorkshire Modified Car Show (16th June)
Visit the beautiful Scampston Hall and Walled Garden on the 16th June to see this annual showcase of modified vehicles among stalls and attractions around the grounds. The highlight of the show is there show car competition called Yorkshire Top 20, featuring the top 20 cars entered from around the UK. There will be hundreds of cars on display from around the country, together with trade stands, fairground attractions and catering units situated around the showground. Limited discounted tickets available at reception!
Scarborough Gin Society (21st & 22nd June)
Enjoy a true Gin Festival featuring 120 listed gins, plus a selection of new and local gins to enhance your experience in the amazing setting of Scarborough Spa. Expect free gin with your entry voucher, tasters and masterclasses, live entertainment and street food.
