Scarborough is fast becoming a comedy hot spot!!

Scarborough has once again strengthened its position as the up and coming comedy hot spot in Yorkshire. Scarborough Spa is set to host comedy favourite Jimmy Carr in November.

The South Bay venue in Scarborough is set to host the household favourite on 1st November when Jimmy Carr brings his Gagging Order tour to the town of Scarborough. 

"Gagging Order" promises to be a hilarious night out. Brand new show, brand new jokes, same old Jimmy Carr. The show will be packed with one-liners, stories & jokes. Some clever, some rude & a few totally unacceptable.

Jimmy Carr is the latest in a growing line of well known comedians to announce dates at the Scarborough Spa Theatre, following in the footsteps of Al Murray the Pub Landlord, Andy Parsons, Paul Tonkinson and Rich Hall, who are all performing this year.

Helen Broadbent, general manger at the Scarborough Spa Theatre, said: “We are delighted that Jimmy Carr is joining our ever increasing line-up of famous comedy stars set to bring their national tours to Scarborough. 

“We have worked hard to secure high-profile acts for our 2013 events programme, not only in the field of comedy but music and theatre as well.

“This is part of SIV’s commitment to ensuring our events offering has something to suit everyone and that the Spa is a hub of entertainment for the people of the town and beyond.”

Jimmy Carr, who has sold more than a million DVDs and has hosted a number of high profile TV shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Big Fat Quiz of the Year, and 10 O’clock Live, will be performing on November 1.

Sooner on the calender is pub landlord Al Murray who takes to the Grand Hall’s stage on March 21 as part of his The Only Way is Epic tour.
