Scarborough Camping - 5 Reasons to choose Crows Nest

Scarborough on the Yorkshire Coast is one of the top destinations in the UK, and with so much to see and do you will quickly see why.

Crows Nest Caravan Park is located right on the coast between Scarborough and Filey and within minutes of many of the most popular attractions, beaches and places to eat in the area.

If you’re looking for a place for your camping holiday, have a read of our top 5 reasons for choosing Crows Nest if you're thinking of camping in Scarborough on the Yorkshire Coast.

  1. Sea Views

Our main camping field at Crows Nest offers some of the best sea views on the Yorkshire Coast. Set upon the cliff top, the views reach all the way to Scarborough – wake up to beautiful views of the water and Scarborough Castle from your tent every morning.

The camping field is within seconds of the Cleveland Way clifftop walk too, on which you can walk to Cayton Bay, our nearest beach, or further afield to both Filey and Scarborough.

You may even spot a dolphin or seal down at Gristhorpe Bay (directly below our cliff top).

  1. Choose your own pitch

The camping field has no marked out pitches, allowing you to pitch wherever you’d like. Choose to pitch right up by the cliff top fence for breathtaking views, or set up further back to be closer to the playground and our award-winning toilet and shower block for easy access.

You can pitch your tent within view of the play area too, an ideal spot for families with young children so you can keep an eye on your little ones.

It’s also ideal for those coming in a group of tents, as you’ll have the freedom to pitch together in a space of your choosing.

  1. Great Facilities

Crows Nest has facilities on site for all the family. Our bar area has live evening entertainment during high season and shows live sports on the big screen (see what's on pages for dates).

The heated indoor swimming pool, play area and games room are perfect for the kids to enjoy and we also have a supermarket and highly rated fish and chip takeaway on site.

We are dog friendly too. You will find a dog park to let your four-legged friends off their leads located just next to the main camping field. There is also a laundry room in the amenities block beside the camping field, along with a pot wash station, family shower rooms, and disabled facilities.

  1. Fabulous Location

Located on the Yorkshire Coast between Scarborough and Filey, we are in the perfect location for day trips to both towns as well as Whitby, Pickering, Bridlington and York.

Even closer is Cayton Bay, an award-winning dog friendly sandy beach, which you can walk to from the camping field. Cayton Bay is just over a mile from us, so walking takes about 30 minutes, or in the car it is just a few minutes drive.

Crows Nest is also on a bus route – you can catch a bus to all the best places right from our entrance. The buses run around every 20 to 30 minutes, 7 days a week.
