The Scarborough Fair Festivals
Scarborough Art | 5th July - 3rd August
Scarborough Art is a month-long event hosted around Scarborough town centre to provide a platform for local artists of all disciplines. Learn about their arts, view their showcases and support their work by buying directly from the creators. This festival is perfect for art lovers of all ages, aiming to offer a day of creativity and inspiration in a celebration of the rich artistic heritage of Scarborough.
Scarborough Extreme | 12th - 14th July
Taking place across North Bay, Oliver's Mount and Scarborough town, this extreme weekend festival offers visitors the chance to get involved with extreme sports and activities. From rollerskating and surfing to motorbike relays and martial arts demos, there is something for every thrill-seeker. Weekend-long music performaces are expected as well as BMX and skateboarding displays from professional riders.

Ryedale Show
Tuesday 29th July
The annual Ryedale Show is one of the biggest competitive displays of livestock and rural crafts in Yorkshire, offering a fun family day out for everyone. Hosted at Duncombe Park, the 2025 show will have over 200 trade, crafts and food stalls as well as live entertainment, free kid's activities and lots of animals to meet. There will be the usual displays and shows from horses, sheepdogs and more, with the special attraction for this year being The Pony Club Mounted Games. The Open Air Theatre has a jam packed schedule for July with some huge names. Here's whats on this month:

Scarborough Open Air Theatre

Whitby Soul Weekender
4th - 6th July
Whitby Pavilion is hosting the ultimate weekend of soul music with lots of live performances in their Northern Lights Suite overlooking the bay. Enjoy the best soul and Motown hits from the North's best loved performers and DJs with both daytime and evening sessions. The weekender has been running since 2002 and is always incredibly popular so make sure to buy tickets in advance.

Pickering Motor Show
27th July
Based at Galtres Pickering Showground, this motor event offers visitors the chance to see hundreds of motorised exhibits including vintage, American, modified and custom cars and motorbikes. There will also be exciting shows from professional bike riders and a magic show for the younger visitors to enjoy, as well as plenty of trade and food stands to explore.

Seasonal Shows
Peasholm Park Naval Warfare
The annual mini sea battles at Peasholm Park begin from the 1st July through to the end of August. Catch the live 'Battle of Peasholm' played out by 20ft replica electric and man-powered war boats on the lake, a fun 30 minute show that has been a favourite of visitors for over 80 years.
Planet Circus
Planet Circus returns to the coast from the 23rd July through to the end of August. Located just minutes from both Crows Nest Caravan Park and Lebberston Caravan Park, the circus has shows every night with international performers, aerial artists and more. Discount tickets are often available at reception!
