The Yorkshire coast has amazing beaches but knowing where and when you can walk your dog can be a problem. Here is all you need to know about our dog friendly beaches on the Yorkshire coast.
Dog Friendly Beaches

These are dog friendly beaches with no limits on when and where they can go:
Cayton Bay - between Filey and Scarborough
Hunmanby Gap - just south of Filey
Reighton Sands - between Filey and Bridlington
Danes Dyke - near Flamborough and Bridlington
Fraisthorpe Beach - just south of Bridlington
Mappleton Sands - near Hornsea
Limited Beaches
Some of the beaches on the Yorkshire Coast have a limit on when dogs are allowed and which areas of the beach they can go on.
Scarborough North Bay - 1 May to 30 September only: Dogs banned from the beach (from a line drawn at a right angle from the top of the northernmost beach slipway (at the Sands) to a line drawn south of the beach slipway at Scalby Mills)
Scarborough South Bay - 1 May to 30 September only: Dogs banned from the beach (from the West Pier to a line drawn at Foreshore Road)
Filey - 1 May to 30 September only: Dogs banned from the beach (from 'Royal Parade', to the 'Coble Landing' / 'The Promenade').
